Arsène Wenger fue el centro de las críticas por su mal perder tras la eliminación del Arsenal ante el Manchester City en la Carling Cup. Después de ver cómo los gunners perdían 3-0 en el 'City of Manchester Stadium', Wenger se marchó directamente al vestuario sin dar la mano a Mark Hughes.
