Varios reportes indican que los planes originales dentro de TNA eran de realizar el World X Cup y por eso se aliaron a varias empresas, para poder intercambiar talentos.Sin embargo, con la llegada de Hulk Hogan y Eric Bischoff, estos planes han sido descartados, por lo que al parecer este año no habra World X Cup.
